The arrival of 5 and Diamond in 2010 brightened a rather dreary strip of Morningside Heights, and has consistently drawn a grateful local crowd; who would likely patronize the restaurant even if things were not quite up to par – and at brunch, they are certainly not. Fortunately, the food is not the problem.
